Magnesium is the most important mineral for humans. It limits the aging process and contributes to the regeneration of the body. It relaxes muscles. It is an important element of bone metabolism, which influences bone strength. It is produced with a technology that guarantees high absorption, efficiency and stability.
Magnesium (magnesium) deficiency in the human body manifests itself in unpleasant health problems and is the most common electrolyte disorder in the body. When magnesium deficiency exists in the body, there are a number of often overlooked symptoms, mainly in the areas of:
Head - headache, weakness, migraine, nervousness, tension, depression, anxiety, impaired concentration,
muscles - pain in the head, stiffness in the neck, facial and masticatory muscles, muscle spasms, tingling in the limbs (paresthesia), increased irritability (tetany)
heart - chest pain, irregular heartbeat, rapid heartbeat,
internal organs - stomach cramps, diarrhoea, vomiting, throat spasm, tension in digestive organs
With these manifestations, in many cases, it is enough for a person to maintain an optimal level of magnesium in the body.
The current diet is poorer in natural sources of magnesium and has resulted in an increasing population suffering from hypomagnesaemia (magnesium deficiency). Magnesium in food is being lost mainly due to the industrialisation of the food industry, the breeding of new varieties of vegetables and fruit, technological processing of food, and overall climate change.
Magnesium in food is also lost as a result of improper food processing such as dehydration or canning. The amount of magnesium ingested is not equal to the amount absorbed. Of the total magnesium ingested (in food), only 30-40% can be absorbed by the body. Its absorption is impaired by the presence of fats, sugars, fibre and free calcium in the diet. The optimal level of magnesium in the body is also disturbed by excessive drinking of alcohol, coffee and various energy drinks. In general, people with increased mental (exhaustion, stress) or physical (elite athletes, hard workers) stress that is either short or long term have an increased need for magnesium. However, the so-called risk groups also include patients with various health problems. Low magnesium levels are often associated with diseases such as:
diabetes - obese people have up to 50% lower magnesium stores, increasing magnesium intake reduces the risk of diabetes
hypertension (high blood pressure) - an increase in magnesium intake helps to normalise blood wall tension, which is reflected in improved blood pressure readings
ischaemic heart disease (insufficient blood supply) - increasing magnesium intake reduces the intensity and frequency of chest pain accompanying this condition
arrhythmia - magnesium helps to correct abnormal electrical activity of the heart, which is the cause of heart rhythm disturbances
ischaemic stroke (insufficient blood supply) - increasing magnesium intake by 100 mg per day reduces the risk of this condition and also protects the brain after an ischaemic stroke
Migraine - increased doses of magnesium reduce the incidence of migraine by almost half
dysmenorrhoea (painful menstruation) - increased doses of magnesium alleviate the symptoms of this condition
premenstrual syndrome (a set of physical and psychological difficulties women experience before and during menstruation) - increased doses of magnesium significantly improve mood, reduce water retention that results in weight gain, bloated abdomen or breast tightness, reduce the incidence of migraines and improve their course.
Dosage: Apply a spray to the wrist or directly to a body part. The preparation is suitable for preparing a bath: 5 tablespoons per bath.
MAGNESIUM - IS INVOLVED IN MORE THAN 300 DIFFERENT BIOCHEMICAL REACTIONS AND OVER 100 ENZYMATIC PROCESSES IN THE HUMAN BODY. HALF OF THE MAGNESIUM IN THE BODY IS FOUND DIRECTLY IN CELLS THROUGHOUT THE BODY, THE REST IS STORED IN THE BONES ALONG WITH PHOSPHORUS AND CALCIUM. ONLY 1% OF THE MAGNESIUM IS IN THE BLOOD.
Other effects on the body:
- improves mental state and protects against the effects of stress
- stabilises cell membranes by interacting with phospholipids
- helps to obtain and use solar energy
- regulates thyroid function
- is a carrier of insulin, controls blood sugar levels
- has a positive effect on the cardiovascular system and is involved in neuromuscular excitability
- breaks down cholesterol by activating cholesterase
- supports bowel, gall bladder and bladder function
- prevents the formation of haemorrhoids
- promotes longevity
- relieves menstrual discomfort
- prevents calcium from being deposited in the kidneys /prevents kidney stones/
- aids the proper function of the prostate gland
Deficiency causes: cardiac arrhythmia, kidney failure, irritability, fatigue, neuromuscular dysfunction, severe cramps in the feet and calves, chest pain, eyelid tics, tingling in the limbs.
