Many active substances in mushrooms and herbs have different chemical nature - some are soluble in water, others only in alcohol (ethanol).
➡️ Aqueous extraction:
Releases e.g. polysaccharides, glycosides, tannins, which often have immune, anti-inflammatory or astringent effects.
➡️ Alcohol extraction:
Extracts substances such as alkaloids, essential oils, flavonoids, triterpenes - i.e. the most valuable for the nervous system, digestion, antioxidant protection and more.
💡 Combining these two methods (double extraction) ensures that we get the full spectrum of active substances from plants or mushrooms, and thus a comprehensive effect.
